@axpathfinder I couldn’t resist taking this shot in passing - the car (wreck!) on the left exemplifies what, in US Marines parlance, is FUBAR ! It’s also been progressively listing to port, to everyone’s wonder, amusement and anticipation....Watch this space !

@axpathfinder Sunder Burj and Nursery revisited, amid flower beds rioting in spring. The 16th century Mughal-era Burj and the Nursery established by the Brits when Lutyen’s Delhi was coming up have been restored by Ratish Randa and his team with support from the ASI and the Aga Khan Trust for Culture. They’ve been particular about using materials that were native to the original structures, importing raw material and artisans from Central Asia to work on the restorations , and train local workers as well- giving them employment and training for a specialised livelihood. The Lakkarwala Burj is more intricate, and my favourite. The murals in the Sunder Burj and the work on its dome has been lovingly redone, too. The gardens and waterways are beautiful, too, relaid in precise Mughal symmetry.
A lovely way to spend a Sunday 😎
