Harlow was the first restaurant I went to when I came to visit Portland and find an apartment, and my mom and I fell in LOVE. So much so, that we ate there every day of the trip😂
Finding gf restaurants while traveling can be HARD, so finding an entirely gf restaurant was an absolute DREAM.
So when I was asked to create a dish for their menu, I was BEYOND excited🥰

If you are in Portland, you have all week to go and give it a try!

@berryfitt Every time I make chia pudding I forget how much I LOVE it.
The key?
Full fat coconut milk 🥥🥛
It makes it soooo thick and creamy.
Paired it with some mango for the ultimate tropical breakfast or snack🌴😍 .

Mango Chia Pudding deets:
3 tbls California Gold Nutrition chia seeds
1 can full fat coconut milk
1 tsp vanilla extract 
1/2 cup California Gold Nutrition organic dried mango

Directions:
- Mix the chia, milk, and vanilla and let sit in fridge overnight (or even just 30 minutes)
- Layer glass with dried mango, top with the chia pudding, and additional mango on top.
- Garnish with coconut flakes
{Note: I find that the coconut milk and mango adds a ton of flavor, but if you prefer a sweeter version, feel free to add 1-2 tbls sweetener of choice}

- ☆ABUNDANCE☆: The vastness of the ocean🌊, the number of particles of sand, and the depth of the Forrest🌲- all of this is available to us. And even within us. Shall we allow ourselves to see it.
.
.
- ☆HEALING☆: The more we separate from who we are and where we came, the sicker we become.
We are part of nature - not our devices. Not our phone, Netflix, or anything online.
When we reconnect to nature, we reconnect to our ability to heal.
Our ability to grow.
Our ability to receive the messages we need.

Which leads me to the third: .

- ☆MESSAGES☆: Would you call me crazy if I told you that all the answers you need could be found in nature?

Well, not necessarily nature in and of itself, but, being IN nature connects us to OURSELVES.
{Its far easier to find ourselves in nature than when staring at a screen}
Which, is where all the messages and answers are.

So often we search externally- for the right doctor, healing, medicine, food, pill, answer from the sky, etc.. But really - we know.

Should we allow ourselves to get quiet, we'd see that all we need to know is already within us.

So often we (definitely myself included🙋‍♀️) get so caught up in our day-to-day, we forget to slow down.
To disconnect.
All in order to reconnect.

@berryfitt The COZIEST afternoon drink☕💛😍 Have you guys heard?! @ancientnutrition launched CBD products, and I could not be more excited!
They use Cerfird Organic & Third-party tested hemp, which is SUPER important when looking for a good CBD. And this honestly my biggest problem with many of the mainstream brands. When you are distilling down any plant for its therapeutic properties, organic and good quality is KEY🔑 Otherwise you risk concentrating pesticides and toxins.

Also, all their CBD is non-psycho active (no THC), making it super versatile to use any time of the day.

I had never had fresh currants until moving to Oregon, and they are truly such a fun little fruit😋
I've only been able to find them at the farmers market, and they're just like a tart little burst of flavor 💥

Also - packed with vitamin C, antioxidants, and even iron! 
Sprinkled them on top of a super creamy chocolate smoothie🍫🍦 .
Smoothie deets👇
Steamed then frozen cauliflower
Steamed then frozen peas
Frozen cucumber

1 scoop chocolate bone broth protein
1 heaping spoonful unsweetened cacao powder
Almond milk

I'm always blown away at how incredibly flavorful fresh farmers market produce is compared to from the store.
EVEN those green ones!😭 .

Besides its many amazing therapeutic benefits and properties, I've always had an affinity towards Ginger.

@berryfitt If you would have told me I was going to end up being a Hypnotherapist a few years ago- I would have called you crazy.

But, after trying nearly EVERYTHING to solve my health problems, this was FINALLY the answer I had been searching for.

Now, I just want to share this healing with others so they can not only end their suffering, but be truly at peace in their body. 
Or rather- guide people to their OWN healing.

You see, Our bodies are designed to heal - should we let them.

They weren't meant to be manipulated and shut down with pills, but rather, listened to.
Heard.
Understood.
And then nurtured.

All pain, disease, fear, anxiety, etc. really is, is a message from the body.
A lesson or a trauma from our past that need to be released. Needed to be expressed. And now has manifested in physical form.

Just being able to listen, identify, and understand- this is half the work.

From here, we get to work in harmony WITH our body. Rather than fighting it.

@berryfitt CUMIN ROASTED SWEET POTATOES. Oh my goshhhh you guys🤤😍 So. Good. 
I'm SUCH a cumin lover (honestly probably one of my top fave spices) and realized I haven't had it in AGES. 
But after cleaning my spice cabinet the other day and finding my cumin had somehow disappeared to the back, reminded me of one of my absolute fave things to have it on - sweet potatoes 😍

Also sprinkled a little bit on the roasted broccoli and tofu😏 What can I say - just making up for lost time 😂

Bowl deets👇
Cumin roasted sweet potatoes {chop sweet potatoes and toss with avocado oil, LOTS of cumin, sea salt and roast at 375 for ~25 mins}
Roasted broccoli {avo oil, cumin, and herbs for half the amount of time as the sps} + pan seared organic sprouted tofu {just pan fried in avo oil with herbs} + beets + fresh greens & cilantro + a drizzle of olive oil and lemon🍋

Let's talk about:

Self care vs. Self Love

Self care: Bubble baths, pedicures, sauna, walks, journaling, etc.

Self love: The knowing that you 1. Deserve all of the above and 2. That you are ENOUGH. Just as you are.

Both will look and feel different for everyone. Yet, I'd like to argue that the latter is FAR more important.

Everyone is talking about hashtag self love and hashtag self care. But really - self care is useless if you dont have self love.

@berryfitt Salad the size of my face with LOTS of fresh herbs and tossed in a fresh herby dressing - is basically my idea of summer bliss💛😍 Made this for lunch earlier, and it's been my go-to for the past few weeks! It takes minutes to throw together, and seriously lights up every taste buds because of the fresh herbs 🌿

I've been LOVING fresh dill that I got from the farmers market. It tastes SO much more vibrant🌞 and alive than the bunch I find at the store. 
No sprays or weird stuff to make it last longer - just pure nutrients straight from the source 😍

Seared Wild caught salmon with sauteed lemon zoodles🍝 & roasty potatoes 🔥
Seriously SO good.

Spent the weekend getting caught up on all the things I fell behind on while I had broken glasses and contacts with the wrong prescription 🙈 which felt SO good.

To be honest, I got really stressed out during that time, feeling like I wasnt getting everything I needed to get done, not being as productive, etc. But once I embraced it for what it was, saw it as something happening FOR me, and not TO me, it was a beautiful experience.

And allowed me to tune into all the things UNseed that I think we so often miss in our day-to-day lives🌷

What's something that's challenged you lately that ended up being for the better? 
I feel like we all have those experiences where in the moment in doesnt make sense, but afterwards, we are sooo grateful for it💛
